چکیده
The plant-parasitic nematode, Nacobbus sp., is responsible for significant economic losses in horticultural production centers Argentina and other countries America, alone or combination with biotic abiotic factors. Although the genus’ distribution restricted to American continent, it has quarantine importance subject international legislation prevent its spread regions. management of phytoparasitic nematodes using biological control strategies a promising eco-compatible alternative, allowing sustainability crop system. Firstly, this study ecophysiologically characterized Plectosphaerella plurivora SRA14, strain nematophagous activity on N. aberrans s.l. This fungal developed vitro under wide temperature range (20–30 °C), but highest levels water stress (Ψ: -7 -10 Mpa; aW: 0.95 0.93) inhibited growth. While extracellular enzymes by was low, P. SRA14 able develop rhizosphere endorhizosphere tomato basil crops without affecting plant vigor parameters producing phytotoxicity signs. Secondly, evidenced biocontrol populations tomato, implanted into both sterile (artificially inoculated) naturally infested soils via greenhouse pot experiments. results work revealed first time potential as agent nematode crops.

Genetic Variation in Nacobbus aberrans: An Approach toward Taxonomic Resolution.
Biochemical and molecular analyses of genetic variation were evaluated to address the taxonomic status of Nacobbus aberrans. Isolates from Mexico, Peru, and Argentina, cultured on tomato in the greenhouse, were analyzed with respect to isozyme and DNA marker variation. Although acid phosphatase and malate dehydrogenase revealed distinct profiles for each isolate, non-specific esterases revealed...

Introduction: The nematophagus fungi have been suggested as an alternative way to eliminate the zoonotic helminths eggs from the environment. In the present study, we evaluated the ovicidal activity of a fungus, Paecilomyces lilacinus, recovered from a compost soil, on the eggs of parasitic helminths under in vitro condition. Methods: Water suspension of the soil samples collected from differen...

Electron and light microscopy were used to study the dorsal gland (DG) and the two subventral glands (SvG) of seven developmental phases of Nacobbus aberrans: pre-parasitic second-stage juveniles (J2), parasitic J2, third- (J3) and fourth- (J4) stages, migratory females, young sedentary females, and mature sedentary females. In each developmental phase the level of esophageal gland activity, wa...

Influence of Nacobbus aberrans Densities on Growth of Sugarbeet and Kochia in Pots.
Among the physiological races of Nacobbus aberrans Thorne and Allen, only the "sugarbeet" race is present in the United States (5). This race reproduces on kochia (Kochia scoparia (L.) Schrad.), tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.), and sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris L.) but not on pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) and potato (Solanum tuberosum L. and S. tuberosum subsp, andigena Jus. and Buk.)
